The Employee Communications Lead/Content Publisher will serve as the publisher/internal communications lead and manage the development of internal content initiatives in all forms to drive employee and statehood ear engagement. The Content Publisher ensures all internal content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile and video. The successful candidate will pitch and develop interesting story ideas using strong editorial judgment.

S/he will manage the production of internal communication content across a wide range of channels, and look for ways to deliver content to employees that is engaging and useful.


• 4-6 years’ experience developing content for a brand

• Professional experience copywriting and editing

• Experience developing social media creative for a brand and creating video content, especially for social channels

• Knowledge of how to tell a story using words, images, or audio and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience

• Strong understanding of best practices in SEO, mobile, video and social

• Ability to generate story ideas and develop story projects


• Write compelling storylines that can be easily turned into content assets and delivered throughout social and digital media channels

• Provide expertise and recommendations to internal teams for best practices in print, web, and social communications

• Create content targeted to specific audiences based on their care needs that is in alignment with the editorial calendar

• Take part in editorial planning, working closely with the Internal Communications Manager, Executive and Internal Communications Director, and Client Services Communication Specialists

• Conduct periodic competitive audits

• Establish work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content

• Develop standards and best practices for content creation, distribution, and content repurposing

• Conduct ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness and make recommendations based on those results

• Leverage market data as well as a cross-functional team of content experts to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets

• Ensure digital properties are fully compliant with the latest SEO standards, and act as a quality control filter to ensure that all content published fits this model

• Coordinate with external vendors to develop content for large-scale campaigns

• Assist with the video content strategy, development, and distribution in support of newly created content
